President’s Welcome Reception – Sunday, July 21st, 7-9 PM

Huntington Botanical Garden & Cryo Research Lab – Wednesday, July 24rd, 7:45 AM – 6:30 PM
An all-day field trip aimed at plant cryobiotechnology delegates, but open to all. Visit the beautiful Huntington Botanical Gardens in San Marino, CA and learn about their conservation activities. $35 per person; 49 space available.
International Cryobiology Young Researchers (ICYR) – Wednesday, July 24th, 6:30 – 10 PM
Delegates of all ages can participate in this fun, fast-paced Urban Scavenger Hunt through the Gaslamp District, the heart of San Diego. Teams of 8-10 will race against the clock to complete tasks and visit iconic landmarks before returning to the Wyndham to announce the winners. Mad-dash scramble, strategic route planning, or a leisurely stroll – you’ll have fun no matter your style! $10 per person; space is limited.
Awards Banquet – Thursday, July 25th, 6:30 – 10 PM
Set sail with us as we celebrate the culmination of CRYO2019 with our awards ceremony and banquet on a San Diego harbor cruise, the Admiral Hornblower. Always a popular fixture, the awards ceremony celebrates the work of our student members and sees the presentation of the prestigious Crystal and Critser awards. The awards ceremony also recognizes the work of the Society’s outgoing officers and governors and celebrates the lifetime achievements of our new CryoFellows. Following this, the banquet promises to be an evening to let your hair down with great food, champagne, dancing, and great company, set against the San Diego evening skyline. $60 per person, 4 tickets max per person; Maximum of 206 guests. San Diego Frozen Zoo – Friday, July 26th, 9 AM – 4 PM
Our generous sponsors at the San Diego Zoo have arranged for a lucky group of delegates to tour the famous Frozen Zoo! Delegates who are staying in San Diego for an extra day after the CRYO2019 conclusion can gain insight into the conservation activities carried out by San Diego zoo with this morning tour of the Frozen Zoo, part of the Institute for Conservation Research. In the afternoon, enjoy complimentary entry to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park for a self-guided tour. An additional fee of $35 per person applies. Transportation to & from the Wyndham is provided.
